Family, friends, and communities across Massachusetts are mourning the loss of Ryan Alyn White, lovingly known by many as “Whitey,” “Turtleboy,” and “Squints.” Ryan’s passing has left a deep void among those who knew him, but his memory will live on through the laughter, love, and unforgettable moments he shared with others.
Born on August 17, 1999, in Gardner, Massachusetts, Ryan was known for his outgoing personality, incredible sense of humor, and ability to bring happiness wherever he went. His energy, compassion, and genuine care for others made him someone who was loved by family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. Ryan had a passion for adventure and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He found joy in activities such as hunting, fishing, dirt biking, and exploring nature.
His love for animals also reflected his caring spirit, as he often showed compassion toward creatures in need. Ryan lived life with enthusiasm, creating memories and embracing every opportunity to enjoy the world around him. Above all, Ryan valued his family and friendships. He was known for his loyalty, generosity, and ability to make people smile. His playful personality, kindness, and unforgettable stories created lasting memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who loved him.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Kevin and Christy; brother Kyle and Grace; grandparents, extended family members, and many friends who will forever cherish his memory. Visitation and funeral services will be held at Mack Family Funeral Homes, Athol-Orange Chapel, with burial to follow at Silver Lake Cemetery in Athol. Though his life was tragically short, Ryan’s legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
