According to authorities, the couple was traveling southbound on I-75 when their vehicle collided with an emergency vehicle that had been responding to a separate incident along the highway. Two additional occupants in the vehicle sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital in Lexington, where they are reportedly receiving treatment.
